I remember rolling and re-rolling characters for Bard's Tale III on my Commodore 64. The game was rumored to have 3 years of potential playing time. I've had Skyrim for 2 years now on my Xbox360, and I've barely scratched the surface of the game. I've visited less than half of the points of interest on the map, and my most advanced character is just beginning Act 2 out of 5. Where Thief of Fate left off, Elder Scrolls moved in, starting with Daggerfall, and currently with the Skyrim game. The games are all classic in their own right, even if they represent a certain stereotype of the RPG genre. If you are an RPG fan, this game is a must play.
